Javier La Jolla

First thing is first, this restaurant has style. You walk in and your eyes are drawn to the massive bar that is located at the entrance. It has an extensive selection of Tequilas and any cocktail you wish to order surely won't be an issue for them to make. We ordered a few different Margaritas but decided that the "Jalapeño" (Blend of Patron Resposado Tequila, Grand Marnier, Triple Sec and Sweet and Sour) was our favorite. It had the right amount spice, which is often hard to find with a Jalapeño Cocktail. We all know what I mean, usually it's too spicy or not enough. This one was right on point.

We ordered a little bit of everything - we shared the "Queso Fundido" and of course the Quacamole as starters. In all honesty, nothing to rave about. I had higher hopes for something AMAZING!

As our main courses, we had Soft Tacos, Crispy Tacos and Cheese Enchiladas. Again, good food but nothing that blew me out of the water. What this place has going for it is the atmosphere. It's a fun place to be and the ambience is "cool". I highly recommend it for a ladies night out - enjoy some killer cocktails and appetizers. Sit at the bar and people watch. This place isn't cheap and in my honest opinion you have better options for Mexican food in San Diego.

Enjoy the cocktails, music and your night out with your tribe !
